A strong partnership between Danish gastronomy and Danish technology
The square in Nykøbing Falster set the stage for one of the most prestigious competitions in Danish gastronomy. Three of the country’s most talented chefs competed for the coveted opportunity to represent Denmark at the Bocuse d’Or – the unofficial world championship of cooking. And in the midst of the intensity, creativity, and precision, Danish technology played a quiet but vital role: the Invoq oven from HOUNÖ.

Christian Wellendorf – Denmark’s new culinary hope
The winner of the day was Christian Wellendorf, head chef and partner at Babette in Copenhagen. With impressive dishes based on pike-perch, oysters, and chicken, he wowed both the judges and the audience. Christian brings a strong background in culinary competitions, including a gold medal and Best Commis award at Bocuse d’Or 2019, and a bronze at World Skills in Abu Dhabi.
